Valencia City Council: poster design to congratulate Christmas

The Valencia City Council wanted to count on us again in 2016 for the design of its official Christmas greeting. At Pixelarte, we carried out the creativity, the art direction and the design of a series of illustrations and animations that starred in the posters for this campaign.

The animated illustrations represented everyday scenes from the Christmas season around a distinctive setting in the city: the City Hall Square of Valencia. Likewise, we wanted to represent three of the characteristic monuments of the area: the institutional building, the historic flower shops located in booths around the square and the mythical Christmas tree that presides over the square every year.

For the illustration design of these congratulation, we used the colour palette associated with the Christmas tradition: red and green, as well as the motto ‘Bones festes’ that conveyed the message of the council.

Later, these designs were adapted to posters to distribute messages in mupi around the entire city through outdoor advertising.

The City Council was so glad with the result that we returned to work with them in 2018 for the Regidoria de Comerç Christmas campaign.
