Geographica: corporate identity design and responsive web design
Logo design, corporate stationery, illustration, applied graphics and UX-UI design for travel agency
Geographica is one of the main mountain travel agencies in Spain, with a wide range of destinations both within the country and internationally. Located in Madrid, they have been offering hiking, climbing and mountain activities since 2003, and in 2017 they launched a national growth plan. To do this, they asked us to renew their corporate identity and thus reflect their brand philosophy and professionalism, since their image had become obsolete and did not reflect the quality of its services.
Firstly, we carried out a logo redesign, creating a dynamic logo with 3 different versions: the main and most complete with typography and an isotype based on the Aneto Peak and a mountain elevation in red; another one with typographic style; and the third, only with the letter G. With these 3 variants, the versatility of the Geographica brand for all branding applications became infinite, especially on digital media.
Once we had the new corporate identity, we carried out a complete and detailed usability study on its website, since the interface was not adapted to mobile devices. After that, we applied the user experience to a responsive UI-UX web design with the aim of improving conversion within the site. In addition, we developed an ad hoc pictogram system in order to better communicate the company’s services. With these small icons, in their web catalogue you can guess at a glance what activity you are looking at, its level of difficulty and the type of accommodation they offer.
The new corporate image also included its application to items such as corporate stationery or merchandising. We were so excited about the project that we did not want to miss the opportunity to also offer the client an art direction in illustration through a series of postcards and stamps, all created from an easily identifiable visual code in three colour tones: blue, white and red. Without a doubt, Geographica became one of our most successful brand identity jobs.
