Maskokotas: logo design based on lettering
Redesign of corporate image and proposal of applied graphics and packaging for a company specialized in pets
Maskokotas is a Valencian-based company specialized in pet food and accessories. Their objective, throughout their 20 years of experience, has always been committed to improving animal welfare by offering high-quality products. However, in order to begin their national expansion plan in 2017, the client needed to professionalize their brand image to reach more people with their branding strategy. Therefore, this experienced company contacted us to update their corporate identity.
Primarily, what Maskokotas needed was a logo redesign, as their previous logo was difficult to read and didn’t work well on different advertising formats. However, the client wanted their logo to remain easily recognizable to avoid losing the brand recognition they had already achieved locally. With these instructions, Pixelarte proposed a restyling of the logo using manual lettering, retaining the original essence and correcting the initial flaws.
Additionally, we also redesigned their isotipo, which resembled a wagging dog’s tail and was applicable to any physical or digital support. This helped the brand to be easily remembered in each element without using the complete logo.
Once we had finalized the logo design, the client also requested that we apply this new image to their corporate stationery, such as business cards and commercial bags.
Our goal was to create a truly fresh project for Maskokotas, so we also developed a proposal for applied graphics, including uniformity in the workplace and product packaging, as well as outdoor advertising posters.
Subsequently, in 2021, the client contacted us again for their brand internationalization plan and the change to Miscota, the current chain of stores that, in addition to their numerous physical stores, has an e-commerce presence in more than 90 countries.
