Brandon Montoya: Visual Identity Design for an Urban Artist
Personal Brand Design and Visual Elements for his Debut EP “Djavu”
At Pixelarte, we developed the visual identity for Brandon Montoya, an emerging artist in the urban genre who is launching his debut EP, “Djavu.” For this project, our main goal was to create a unique and highly versatile personal brand that reflects his essence and can evolve alongside his musical career.
The project focused on two key aspects: personal branding and the visual identity of the EP. For the personal brand, we designed a distinctive logo that balances neutrality and character, using a vibrant red color that symbolizes the energy and passion Brandon conveys. To complement it, we created an iconic symbol—a butterfly—that represents his personal transformation and his deeper emotional connection, his mother.
Working with Brandon pushed us out of our comfort zone. Stepping away from the realm of companies, whether they offer products or services, and public administrations, we dove into the artistic sector, enjoying a different kind of creative freedom, allowing us to work “creative to creative” and develop a branding concept distinct from the rest of the studio’s projects.
Each song of the EP, like “Djavu,” “No es como yo,” “La Puerta,” and “Cómo Hago,” received a unique graphic identity, ensuring a consistent image across all touchpoints, from covers to social media campaigns.
This visual identity not only positions Brandon Montoya as a standout artist in the urban scene but also maintains a deep emotional connection with his audience, ensuring that his brand evolves as his career progresses.
